User Interface

  • Why are portions of the screen on top of each other?
    • PMM only supports the latest versions of standard browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Android, iOS, and IE 10. If you are using an outdated browser you will not see PMM correctly. PMM's new browser display functionality will look poor in older browsers.

Logging In

  • Why can't I log into PMM?
    • If you are having trouble logging in, it may be due to 3 attempts using a bad password. Wait 20 minutes for the system to reset. If you are still having problems then use the "Forgot Password" option in the top navigation. Follow the steps and an e-mail will be sent to the personal e-mail we have on file.


  • Why does PMM not offer "couple" profiles?
    • We believe that each member of the couple should have their own profile. The profiles are geared for individual answers like age, body type, favorites and so on. It would be very rare that both members of a couple would match on all of these qualities.
      Beyond all that, once we create a "couples"-style profile there will be a push to create "triad" profiles, then "quad".
      Instead we'd rather treat everyone as individuals and give you the tools to talk about and link to all the members of your family.
  • How do I delete my account
    • Contact TeamPMM for instructions by using the "Contact Us Button" at the top of the screen. NOTE: Deleting your account on PMM has no effect on PayPal Subscriptions. You must go directly to to cancel your subscription. For more information on PayPal subscriptions please read our Terms and Conditions located at the button of every page. If you are sure you would like to delete your profile, go to to confirm your decision. You will need to be logged in when you click on the link.
  • I deleted my account and I wish to come back
    • We are thrilled that you have decided to come back to PMM. Please note that we do not have the availability to re-use User Names or E-mail Addresses so you'll have to create a brand new account with a new login name and a new email address.

My Profile

  • How do I change my bio/description?
    • Go to the top navigation, click on or hover over "My Account". If you click on "My Account" you will be forwarded to a summary screen. Choose "Edit My Profile"
  • How do I change my password?
    • Go to the top navigation, click on or hover over "My Account". If you click on "My Account" you will be forwarded to a summary screen. Choose "Edit My Profile"
  • How do I upload a photo?
    • Go to the top navigation, click on or hover over "My Account". If you click on "My Account" you will be forwarded to a summary screen. If you hover over it, you can choose "Manage My Profile Pictures".
  • Why can I not see my uploaded photo(s) when I click on my member name?
    • Why can I not see my uploaded photo(s) when I click on my member name? All new or updated photo's are reviewed prior to being displayed on the site. This process is usually quick but can take up to 24 hours.
  • Why can I not see my bio/description when I click on my member name?
    • All new or updated bio's/descriptions are reviewed prior to being displayed on the site. This process is usually quick but can take up to 24 hours.
  • How to I link myself to another member in my profile? (e.g. I am seeing member name so and so)
    • In order to link a member on your profile you simply need to enclose the user name inside of [user][/user] tags within the text box fields of your member profile. For example, [user]TeamPMM[/user]


  • What is a "Favorite?"
    • A Favorite is a member that you like or want to follow. You can go to that members profile, click on the favorite tab (heart), and make them a Favorite. You can also add a message that only you will see when looking at all of your Favorite's. To take someone off of your Favorites list, reverse the process.
  • How do I "Block" someone from contacting me?
    • Go to the profile of the person you wish to block. On their Dashboard will be some tabs. Click on the the block symbol (a circle with a line through it) then click on the "Block" button. Note: you will no longer appear on their searches and they will not be able to contact you from the blocked account. To unblock a member, reverse the process. Lastly, if someone is really bothering you, report them! There is a button for that on profile pages as well.
  • I am having issues with another member
    • Immediately report that member to TeamPMM either by going to their profile and clicking the "Report" button at the bottom of the profile with a detail of the issue, or using the "Contact Us" button at the very top of the page. Note that if you use the "Contact Us" button you will be required to inform us who is upsetting you and why so that they can investigate the issue. Also review the "How do I "Block" someone from contacting me" section within this page.
  • Why am I having problems using search?
    • Search is designed for you to look for the aspects you are looking for in a match. It will take your input and show you all the members that have filled out their profile matching your answers.
      So if you put in a specific city, it will only show you members living in that city. And if you check the box for "Only members with photos", then you will only see members with photos.
      If there are multiple check boxes, then it will show members that match either/any of your choices. So you can choose to see "Straight" OR "Bi", with a body style of "Slim" OR "Average" OR "Athletic". You can be as specific or general as you wish. If you don't choose any options then the system will consider that part unimportant. So if you don't care about height, you can either check them all or check none of them; either way it will work the same.
      There are only a few places where checking would exclude members as opposed to refining the search. Those are are clearly marked using phrasing like "Only members with.." and "Any member that...".
      If you're not getting the results you are expecting, it's best to use the "Clear Form" button at the top of the page and add one parameter at a time. First search just location. Then location and gender. Then location, gender, and orientation. You get the idea.
  • Do you run background checks on membership?
    • No


  • Why can I not send PMM mail?
    • Please review our "Compare Plans" section under "Resources" located on the bottom of every page. Premium Members can send unlimited PMM mail as well as reply multiple times to any received PMM mail. Standard Members can reply only once to each received PMM mail as long as the originator of said PMM mail remains in Premium status. Due to programming changes, PMM mail older than March 22nd 2013 cannot be replied to with Standard Membership.
  • Why have I not receive any PMM notification emails after July 1st 2014?
    • You haven't been on in a while have you? Welcome back.

      To comply with Canadian anti-spam laws, PMM placed into effect the "I approve PMM notification emails" agreement. When you logged in, you were prompted to "agree" to agreement. So up until July 1st 2014, and as long as we have your correct personal email address, you should be receiving all PMM notification emails. To test this feature, take a look at your profile and "poke" yourself. You should receive a PMM notifications email to the email you had set up your account with. If you do not, go to "My Account" and update your email address now. From July 1st 2014 and going forward, if we do not have your acknowledgement on file, we cannot send you any notification emails.
  • What is a Poke?
    • Pokes are available to all members and are a quick and simple way to introduce yourself to other members. It is a pre-defined message meant to get someone's attention. If you're the recipient of a poke, you can choose one of the pre-defined responses to show your level of interest in the sender. You can say that you are interested, not interested, or politely say that you don't think you and the sender are at all compatible.

PayPal/Premium Accounts

  • How do I stop my PayPal subscription?
    • We are sorry that you are no longer interested in helping to support our site. We have worked very hard over the last 14 years to support the Poly community and the only way we receive assistance in paying for servers and costs is through our subscription accounts.
      If you would like to cancel your subscription, please follow these instructions and we do hope that you find love and happiness.
      Canceling a subscription cancels all future scheduled payments of that subscription. A subscription can be canceled up to the day of the next scheduled payment. These are the directions from PayPal's website at the time of this writing. It may have changed since then.
      1. Log in to your PayPal account.
      2. Click the My Account tab.
      3. Click the History subtab.
      4. Click More filters, select Subscriptions and agreements, and then click Subscriptions.
      5. Change the date back to the year the subscription was created, and then click Show.
      6. Click Details next to the subscription.
      7. Click Cancel Subscription.

      PolyMatchMaker is a place of safety and security. With that, we cannot "out" any of our members that would meet your criteria. We also have a policy to not post on the behalf of others any request for contacting members. This is to prevent confusion of association or endorsement.
